It was dull in the Cullen home for a while, and Rosalie Hale couldn't help but feel sorry for herself. Bella was the talk of the town and she was old news.
The beautiful blonde had spent her time thinking of how life would be if Bella were truly to merge herself into the Cullen family even more. Would she be replaced?
Wearily, she stared in the mirror and let out a sigh.
"Would anyone even go for letting her become one of us?" Her thoughts swirled in her head as she moved a stray blonde bang from her pale face.
The fact that she was even wanting to be a monster like the rest of them just made her skin itch. She was wasting her human life; something Rosalie had lost so fast; it had just slipped through her fingertips leaving her to just gape.
Lifting up her chin and moving her eyes towards the window in her room, she leaned against it and stared out. To be a human again... It still ate at her from time to time, and she decided that she would still remain with the Cullens for one reason; Emmett. Not that she didn't love her family, but Emmett was the only thing holding her back. And it was a great thing. He made her forget about her horrible days, and washed away her insecruties.

“Again?” Emmett’s voice echoed throughout the entire house as he slammed the door open. ”Edward Cullen….” Emmett’s voice now resembled a hiss. The muscles in his arms tensed, and his body began to slowly move into a crouch. He was readying himself for the attack. The anger that had overcome him as a result of another lost race was almost unbearable. Emmett was good at making himself appear a good sport on the spot, but when he believed himself to be alone, the façade was off. A growl to rival that of a grizzly resounded from his thick throat. ”I would kill him if….” The words came out at a mumble, but then suddenly stopped all together.
He caught scent of her. Rosalie was just up the stairs. With only a moments notice, he was at her door. A soft knock was made out of courtesy. ”Hey beautiful,” His voice was full of love and concern. It was obvious that his words were more than just a greeting. They were yearning to know more. He was utterly confused and worried. In seconds, he was at her side, and his strong right arm slipped around her skinny waist to pull her body into his. An intense moment of eye contact caused his worry to increase even more. She was truly troubled. Curving her back, Emmett moved toward her to kiss her soft forehead.
”How’s my angel?” All of his anger meant nothing now. The world disappeared when Rosalie was present. She was much bigger than anything else he ever worried about. His chest burned when he saw her like that. If he could give her a child, he would have already. If he could make her human, he would have given his own immortality to do it. Emmett just wanted to make her eternity worth surviving through, and yet when he saw her like this, he knew his task was nearly impossible. He would never stop trying, but sometimes it wore him down.

Hey beautiful. Rosalie would've blushed, but seeing as her vampiric state she only smiled and leaned against his muscled body. His voice was deep with concern and it only made her more relaxed. Anything to know someone in this place actually noticed her less-than-happy mood. Although she did hear his outburst before, she was impressed on how his own mood had changed so quickly for her.
As he kissed her forehead, she wrapped her own slender arms around him and leaned against his chest, attempting to listen to his heartbeat. None. But it didn't matter. "How's my man?" She fired sweetly back; anything to make him think everything was okay, "What happened with Edward?" His name took a lot to roll off her tounge; needless to say, she wasn't too happy with him for the human girl he had brought into her prescence. And it wasn't going to take 2 seconds for her to forgive him.

”How’s my man?”
If Emmett had a heart to skip a beat, it would have just then. She could always make him stopping breathing. Of course, he was fake breathing in the first place, but when he forgot, she was really getting to him. Looking back into her soft golden eyes, Emmett’s muscles might have all just melted. Her soft presence was enough to put him into submission, but she was actually gracing him with her glance and her melodious words. Heaven was the only way to describe his current state, but her next words would cause all his happiness to come crashing down.
”What happened with Edward”
That caused him to snap. He had successfully pulled himself together for her, but there was no hiding now. Rosalie made him feel so comfortable that he had forgotten to keep a hold on his anger. It was boiled over, and he would now have no choice but to express it to Rosalie. ”Well, Mister I-read-minds-and-make-everyone’s-life-miserable and I had a little racing match. He won.” A deep throated growl pierced the previously tranquil air. Toward the end of his angry expression, it turned into a bit of a yell, and his next action was not going to please him once committed. His frustration made its way into his arms causing him to release his hold on Rosalie and push her roughly away into whatever might be behind her.
The sound of the impact brought him back to reality. Rose? It was then that he turned to look and see the damage he had done. This was not the first time his anger had taken over and resulted in the pain of someone he loved. He had been on edge lately. Emmett was constantly worried about making Rosalie not hate her life so much, that he had not been paying enough attention to his own behavior. This was his last straw with himself. He had to do something about this. His body remained frozen in place. He was unable to run to his wife. He was unable to say anything more. Anxiety and anticipation began to take over. What would happen next? Her reaction held his into world in the balance.

She continued to watch him carefully, waiting for any false experssion cross over his face as he looked into her eyes. As she lightly traced her finger along his shirt, she breathed in deeply. This is where she wanted to be. She wanted to be with Emmett. Forever. And it didn't matter what happened, because they would be together forever. Nothing could pull them apart. Not even some stupid little human girl who took advantage of her fragile life.
"Well, Mister I-read-minds-and-make-everyone’s-life-miserable and I had a little racing match. He won."[/color]
She closed her eyes as she listened. Edward had somehow wronged Emmett; and she wasn't surpised. Not that Edward as a horrible perso- vampire, he just was making her angry lately. With his little human and- Barely opening her eyes, she felt the comfronting arms drift apart and she was roughly slammed into the vainty. Not that he pushed too hard, but because of her stone-like state the pieces of the mirror shattered and collided onto the floor.
It didn't hurt much physically, but mentally it stung. And she knew who to blame. Bella. She clenched her fists, not even bothering to pick the pieces of mirror out of her hair; locked with thoughts of Bella already taking over and making her more miserable.
She had to do something about this; no one else seemed to be bothered about it as she was and that bothered her the most. Either they'd change her now and get it over with, or she'd end up killing her herself. Rosalie's experssion imediately changed- it softened slightly and returned to a stunned one. Would she even think about killing a human despite of her stance? The fact that she was with Edward who would destroy her in any matter possible.
It sent a trickle down her spine, but she didn't budge or twitch; confusion spreading all over her face as she finally got back to the matter at hand. Emmett had shoved her into the mirror. She blinked slowly. Even she didn't know what to make of it.

No. That had not just happened. Emmett had not just behaved that way.
He must have looked like an idiot. His jaw dropped as he observed her elegant blink. Emmett had just physically struck his wife. What was he thinking? Since when was it okay for Emmett to allow his anger to take over like that? This was unacceptable. No one had the right to treat Rosalie Hale with that sort of disrespect. His form was frozen in disbelief and regret. What should he do now? Making eye contact with her was beginning to be painful. Emmett quickly shifted his glance down toward the floor.
”Rosalie…” The word came out rough and uneven. Nothing about the noise that came from Emmett sounded like him. It was as if his every facility had been taken over by a foreign persona. This would not do. Something had to give. He had to fight this overwhelming anger and frustration. Emmett was only going to make things worse if he kept going on like this. All he wanted to do was get away. A small glance at Rosalie’s face would have broken a heart if he had one.
”I’ll go Rose…” His words stuck in his throat, but he knew he had to keep going. ”G…good….” Emmett took several steps toward the exit of the room. He needed to go and get his act together. This was his attempt to make things better. Being his childish self, Emmett assumed that by going away, everything would be better. He could calm down away from her. Of course, he was not convinced that leaving would be best for him…he just wasn’t sure what to do. His love for her was all he was certain about in that moment. She would be able to turn him around if she could get over the wound he just gave her. He did need her in that moment, but that was not what his mind was telling him at the time. ((Sorry this is a bad one.))
